The Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process
Objective:
The aim of the seminar is to provide participants with an outline of the CIF’s requirement to develop an internal capital adequacy assessment process (further, ICAAP). It outlines the principles and methodologies that should be used when establishing this process, looks at how the responsibilities are divided between the different functions of the CIF.
The seminar describes the main elements of ICAAP, such as risk management, stress testing, internal capital calculation and capital planning, and then sets out the content of the ICAAP report that must be produced so as to satisfy CySEC’s requirements.
Finally, it gives the overview of upcoming changes in prudential requirements for investment firms in EU and outlines how CySEC will review and evaluate the ICAAP of the CIF
